ABDUL SALAM |
Rather, he left for Liberia with a couple of Ghanaian stars who are not part of the ‘Single Six’ cast.
The development, according to reports, is generating uproar within the movie industry, with some of the movie’s cast grumbling and fuming in anger.
For fear of being banned, none of the cast is however ready to go public over the development but they are grumbling that Salam had not been fair to them.
The movie’s lead actresses include Yvonne Okoro, Ebi Bright, Mzbel, Beverly Afaglo, Ciara Galega, and Zynell Lydia Zuh with male cast include Adjetey Annan, John Dumelo, Eddie Watson, Timothy Bentum and Prince David Osei.
But he producer only took Yvonne Okoro and Eddie Watson for the Liberia Premiere.
He also travelled with Jackie Appiah, Yvonne Nelson, Frank Raja, Frank Artus, Samira Yakubu and other who are in no way related to the movie.
Reports say the ‘Single Six’ cast may boycott the Ghana premiere to register their protest.
Information from Salam’s camp explains that what he did was a smart business strategy to attract large a large crowd to his Liberia premiere because those on the trip were very popular in that country and their presence was most likely to increase patronage at the premiere.
Salam and his crew are expected to return to Ghana today, Monday July 25.
The new movie tells the story of six single beautiful ladies namely; Yolanda (Ebi Bright), Kendra (Beverly Afaglo), Zila (Ciara Galega), Christine (Mzbel), Serena (Zynell Lydia Zuh) and Tatiana (Yvonne Okoro), all at the top in their various professions, who do all in their power to find love and affection, yet fail to achieve their dreams.
The movie will be premiered in Ghana on Friday, July 29 at the Silverbird Cinema in Accra.
