Tic Tac: I’m Searching For The Right Woman

TIC TAC
He has referred to a romantic love on some of his recordings but that highly cherished item seems to be constantly eluding Kwaku duah, known in showbiz circles as Tic Tac.

The young man who came to the limelight with his hit track, Philomena, and is credited with inventing the kangaroo dance, told ‘Showbiz’ in a chat that though he has been in some fairly loving relationships, he is still searching for the right woman to settle down with.

He was not eager to disclose who he is dating currently but gave an indication that he is having a good time with her and hopes things go well enough for them to marry. “Until the wedding bells ring loudly in my ears, I can safely say that I’m still searching for the right woman to settle down with,” Tic Tac sad.

Away from love matters, Tic Tac is working hard to finish a new album he has titled Ghana 4 U. The album has songs like Gallo featuring Gyedu Blay Ambolley, You Got Me Crazy featuring Key Note and Feel.
“As a musician you need to lie low sometimes, re-assess everything and come out with something really impressive. That is what I have been trying to do.”

The upcoming album would be the seventh for Tic Tac after releasing previous ones like Philomena, Masom, Masem, Wope and Accra Connection. Explaining why he chose Ghana 4 U as the title of the new album, Tic Tac pointed out that he is often amazed at how people do not like to be responsible for their actions. No one is willing to stand up for the truth or the things they believe in. Such attitudes only draw us back as a country.

One of the things that saddens his heart about Ghanaian music, Tic Tac says, is the fact that a large portion of our contemporary stuff does not last. Albums are released and they fade away in a couple of months.

On why he is no longer the face of Melcom, he disclosed that his contract with the supermarket chain has ran out. “For now I just want to relax and concentrate on my music”, he stated.
